The Property Council of Australia is the nation’s advocate for the property industry and is one of Australia’s leading business groups. 

We have 2200+ corporate members ranging from institutional investors, superannuation funds, property trusts and financial supp liers to private investors, developers and those providing professional services to the property industry.  Our income is generated through membership, sponsorship, events and publications, which fund our advocacy and research priorities.

Your new opportunity

We are looking for an experienced public policy professional to head our NT Division as the Executive Director.  Reporting to the Chief Executive and the NT Division Council, this hands-on role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Division with an emphasis on policy development, advocacy and financial performance.

Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
 

  • Policy development and submissions
  • Advocacy and public affairs strategy and implementation
  • Representing the industry to senior policy makers
  • Liaison with senior industry representatives
  • Media comment on designated issues
  • Business development activities, including as membership and sponsorship
  • Design of industry seminars and events
  • Financial performance of the Division.


What we're looking for
Key to your success will be your strong policy development and/or public affairs experience, detailed understanding of the political process, superior communication skills, excellent stakeholder management abilities to work effectively with people at all levels, strong financial management skills and commercial acumen.

This role can be structured on a permanent or part-time (minimum of 30 hours a week) basis.
